REICHERT CLINCHES 4TH CONSECUTIVE NHRA TITLE

(Las Vegas, NV) Bill Reichert and his Rislone Engine Treatment top alcohol
dragster team clinched their fourth consecutive NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster
championship this past weekend in Las Vegas, capping off yet another
remarkable year for the Owosso, MI-based team. Reichert is now tied for
second on the list of most NHRA Top Alcohol championships.

Reichert entered the Las Vegas event with the points lead, but had no
plans of resting on his laurels, as fellow Top Alcohol competitors Jim
Whitely and Duane Shields were both within range of snagging the title for
themselves. Whitely managed to upset Reichert in the first round of
competition, keeping Whitely’s hopes alive. Luck would prove to be on
Reichert’s side, however, as he would receive a bit of help from one of
the sport’s most successful female drivers, young Hillary Will. Will
knocked out Shields in the first round of competition, and would
eventually meet Whitely in the semi-finals. In a thrilling drag race,
Will would run down Whitely just before the finish line, sending her into
the finals and sending Reichert on home with the championship.

“We are absolutely ecstatic,” said a very enthusiastic Reichert. “We went
into Vegas in an effort to play spoiler and to lock this thing up, and
even though it happened a bit differently than we might have planned, it
all worked out in the end and we got what we were looking for. And hey,
how about that Hillary Will?!”

Reichert and his Rislone team will now march on to the final NHRA event of
the season, the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals, and it
is there that his team will begin testing new engine components that will
hopefully continue to give them the edge over the competition. “We’ve
been running a very successful style of cylinder head for a few years now,
and obviously it has been getting the job done,” explained Reichert. “But
now that we can go into Pomona with the championship already locked up,
we’ve decided to test a new style of cylinder head that we hope will net
us even greater results. Obviously testing new parts can set you back a
bit performance wise at first, so that’s why we’ve chosen to put off
testing these new parts until we had the season wrapped up. I’m excited
to see what they will do!”

Amidst all the celebration and preparation for the Pomona event, Reichert
still took the time to reflect back on the season as a whole, and to thank
the people that helped get him to this lofty position that he now enjoys.
“First and foremost, I have to thank everyone at Rislone and Bar’s Leaks
for their continued support over the years. Its just so amazing to see
what we’ve been able to accomplish since they came onboard with us back in
1994. They’ve stuck with us through the good times and the bad, when I’ve
been in a rough spot they’ve always been there to encourage our team and
get us fired up to keep coming back and trying again each weekend. I
really don’t know what to say, other than ‘thank you’ from myself and
everyone on our team!”

Fans can expect to see a jubilant and confident Reichert take to the track
November 12-15th at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA for the final NHRA
event of the year. And although Reichert may be testing new parts in
preparation for the 2010 season, you can count on seeing the Rislone
Engine Treatment Dragster contending for the win all weekend long.
