HiQ Develops Production Test Systems for Leading Global Vehicle Manufacturer
STOCKHOLM--Regulatory News:
HiQ (STO:HIQ) was recently contracted by a leading Nordic vehicle manufacturer with global presence to provide two new production test systems for engine quality assurance. The engines are produced in Asia.
“We are very proud of the fact that our customer has the confidence in us to deliver these production test systems. HiQ has extensive experience and skills in developing both production and development test solutions for a number of customers in the vehicle industry. This new contract with one of our key customers gives us an opportunity to continue supplying effective testing systems to the vehicle industry,” said Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälardalen.
The rationale behind the order is to standardise engine production tests, with the ultimate aim of harmonising engine testing during production across all subsidiaries in the group.
The new test application system detects the engine type, and then performs the complete test cycle automatically. The system also manages and controls all of the external systems needed to perform the engine test. The test results and data are then sent to a central database, which is used in global testing operations.
“It is important for us to demonstrate that we can also act as a cooperation partner for our customers in the global market. Having worked on test solutions in the vehicle sector for over a decade, we have the experience and the skills needed to successfully manage such projects,” said Nilsson.
“HiQ has extensive, solid experience in working with different players in the vehicle industry,” said Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ. For over 15 years we have been developing systems to ensure reliable, high-quality testing processes. This contract shows that the services we offer in this field are strong and very competitive,” Stugemo added.
HiQ is an IT and management consultancy company focusing on high-tech solutions in the fields of communications, software development and simulation technology.
