Rittenberry Names President and CEO Of PBIR And Palm Beach Driving Club

Jupiter, October 30, 2009: Jason Rittenberry, a seasoned motorsports executive with 10 years of experience in the business, has been named president and chief executive officer of Palm Beach International Raceway (“PBIR”) in Jupiter, Florida. Rittenberry will be replacing Ron Dixon, who will be moving on from the day to day operating role he has held for the past year.

Rittenberry, 34, comes to Palm Beach International Raceway from Memphis Motorsports Park, where he has served as vice president and general manager since 2001 and will report directly to the Management Committee of the partnership group that owns PBIR. He brings a wealth of knowledge in motorsports and has extensive experience in hosting national motorsports events, including NASCAR, NHRA drag racing, sports cars and road racing, as well as corporate and lifestyle entertainment events.

As president and CEO, Rittenberry will oversee the day to day operations of the newly renovated state-of-the-art facility as well as the Palm Beach Driving Club. In addition, he will develop partnerships with local and national sponsors, develop and implement strategies with in-market retailers and work with promoters and sanctioning bodies to optimize the utilization of the facility and improve the overall race experience.

The $30M phase I facility renovation which included a new, all concrete, ¼ mile drag strip and new high performance two mile road course has recently been completed. Rittenberry will oversee phases II and III of the continued venue improvements, including; new restroom and concession buildings, pit garages, a motorsports industrial park, drag strip tower and suites, fueling station and convenience store, retail and lifestyle entertainment center and clubhouse for the Palm Beach Driving Club.

About Jason Rittenberry

Since 2001 Jason Rittenberry has served as vice president and general manager of Memphis Motorsports Park, where he oversees the day-to-day operations, staff and finances of the 400-acre facility. Memphis Motorsports Park hosts over 260 events annually including five national events; the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, and the National Guard ADRL Drag Racing Series as well as exciting special events, weekly drag racing and road course racing. Memphis Motorsports Park boasts an annual attendance of 575,000 fans and is ranked annually as one of the Top 10 Attractions in the State of Tennessee. Professionally Rittenberry is actively involved in the International Association of Assembly Managers (IMMA), where he serves on the International Stadium Managers Committee. In addition to his professional duties, Jason devotes countless hours of time to community and civic organizations, including Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Advisory Board and fundraising for ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A native of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jason and his wife, Jeanie currently reside in Lakeland, Tennessee. They have a daughter, Carson, and a son, Preston. Jason and Jeanie are active members of Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett.
