Full throttle for the metropolis of mobility: new internet presence for Automechanika

From the autumn of 2009, Automechanika will have a new website, almost a year before the trade fair begins. At the end of October, the new internet presence for the world's leading trade fair for the automobile industry will go online. Visitors to www.automechanika.messefrankfurt.com/frankfurt/de <http://www.automechanika.messefrankfurt.com/frankfurt/de> can expect "fireworks for their eyes and ears". To the accompaniment of some pretty cool rock music, the site will take you on an interactive roadshow through a 'metropolis of mobility' – the new key visual for Automechanika. The stylised city, built of various motor vehicle components and items of workshop equipment, is set to "come alive". Swirling brushes from the car wash, detonating spark plugs and moving car lifts take the visitor direct to the individual product groups, Parts & Systems, Accessories & Tuning, Repair & Maintenance, IT & Management and Service Station & Car Wash.

Other new features include:

- Target-group specific navigation: for visitors, exhibitors, journalists

- Modern design and more information about visiting the trade fair; interactive plan of the halls, exhibitor and product search, online ticketing, mobile services, details of travel and information on staying in Frankfurt as well as on the city itself.

- The site offers exhibitors an overview of the whole range of services available to help them plan and organise their trade-fair appearance, including, for instance, topics such as logistics, stand construction, marketing in the Exhibition Centre, professional development.

- Extended search facility covering the entire event, with more search options and detailed information on individual exhibitors and products.

- Interactive plan of the halls: view of the complete Exhibition Centre with ability to zoom in to individual hall levels.

- For journalists: new Automechanika press centre, press releases on all Automechanika events, including relevant contact persons, RSS feeds.
