SCOTT TAYLOR FINISHES SIXTH OVERALL IN TORC PRO-2WD CHAMPIONSHIP

Belvidere, IL (October 28, 2009) - The final weekend of the 2009
Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL had Scott Taylor and the #8
Miller Electric Skyjacker Suspensions BFGoodrich Tires Ford F-150 look
to end on a strong note. During both rounds Scott Taylor looked like
he would land on the podium, but miscues ended each night with
unexpected results.

The track that the TORC officials created in and on the Dirt Track
at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was a combination of high speed flat out
racing on the oval portion of the track and a high flying technical
section that ran through the infield.

After the first and only practice session, TORC officials knew they
had a dust problem with the track. Immediately after the session, the
crew went to work putting moisture in the track. When the sun went
down, and racing was about to begin, the track was a combination of
tacky hard-pack clay and moist desert soil.

   FRIDAY - ROUND 15

Scott Taylor started on the outside of the front row for the
night?s race. When the green flag fell, the Miller Welders BFGoodrich
Tires Ford F-150 immediately grabbed the lead. The challenging track
was no match for the blue Ford, as he handily led the fifteen-truck
field to the mandatory yellow halfway through the fourteen-lap event.
When the field went back to racing, the second and third place racers,
of MacCachern and Johnson, really put the pressure on Scott.  On lap
nine, Scott got a little sideways going into turn one, and that was
just enough for MacCachern to lean on Scott and take the lead heading
for the table top jump. Then, just as quickly, Johnson squeezed by,
putting Scott in third place. One lap later, Scott spun on the wet
slippery track, moving back several more spots. At the checkered flag,
Scott crossed the line in seventh place.

?The conditions of the track were a handful, there was mud in
certain section at the start, but within a couple of laps, the infield
just dried up,? noted Scott Taylor. ?We went through all are tear offs
because of the sloppy portions, but the dust got bad in other areas.
TORC had no choice but to bring out the yellow. They made the right
moves getting the dust to disappear, while more water was sprayed on
the track. It was a very unique situation.?

Immediately after the racing was complete, TORC worked around the
clock to prevent a similar situation for the final round of the year.

   SATURDAY ? ROUND 16

The starting grid had Scott lined up in the front row and he was
determined to finish the season on a high note. As the field slid
through Turn One, Scott had the Miller Welders Ford in second place.
The TORC track team had succeeded in reducing the dust, and created a
surface that the racers and spectators really enjoyed. It looked like
the Roush Yates powered Ford would challenge for the lead, when Scott
clipped the right front tire on the inner wall of the infield turn,
causing the hub assembly to break and quickly end his season.

?I made a mistake tonight, and paid for it,? commented Taylor.
?BFGoodrich gave me an awesome set of tires tonight, that?s a given.
My crew Mike Kasch, Dustin Pence, and Kevin Pence gave me a truck that
was ready to win tonight, and it didn?t happen. I look back at the
season, and realize we had some highs and lows this year, but stayed
in the inversion all year (the top six), while the level of
competition this year has been the toughest of my career. Thanks again
to all my supporters, Miller Welders, Skyjacker Suspensions,
BFGoodrich Tires, King Shocks, Roush Yates engines, Walker Evans
Racing, and all the associates.?

Scott Taylor finished the 2009 Traxxas TORC Series presented by
AMSOIL PRO-2WD Championship in sixth place. This included three wins
and three Oakley Bomb fastest lap awards.
