Jason R. Anderson Joins Miller Buckfire as Managing Director
Latest Addition to Firm's Strategic Advisory Group
NEW YORK, Oct. 27 -- Miller Buckfire & Co., LLC, a leading independent full service investment bank, today announced that veteran investment banker Jason R. Anderson has joined the Firm as a Managing Director. Mr. Anderson will focus on companies active in the general industrial and automotive sectors and help lead Miller Buckfire's growing strategic advisory practice.
Mr. Anderson is the fourth senior level addition to Miller Buckfire's advisory practice in 2009.
Mr. Anderson joins Miller Buckfire from Banc of America Securities, LLC, where he was a Managing Director with senior client coverage responsibilities for Diversified Industrial clients and Head of Automotive investment banking. Prior to joining Banc of America Securities, LLC, Mr. Anderson spent 12 years as a banker covering industrial clients with Goldman, Sachs & Co.
While at Banc of America Securities, LLC and Goldman Sachs, Mr. Anderson advised key clients on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures with aggregate consideration of approximately $60 billion and has helped clients raise approximately $25 billion in financing.

In addition to Mr. Anderson, Miller Buckfire has announced three other senior level new hires to the advisory practice this year. John Orem joined from Morgan Stanley to head teams advising companies in lodging and gaming; David Shiffman joined from Goldman Sachs to advise clients in retail businesses; Michael Scott joined from Bank of America to establish a new US Government advisory practice.
Mr. Anderson earned his MBA in Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1994 and a BA in History from Principia College in 1988.
