Shannon Anderson Wins IMCA's 2009 Hobby Stock
Division Title With EQ(r) Cylinder Heads
Driver captures record setting 43 wins on his way to the national point
championship
(ATLANTIC, IOWA) - Defending champion Shannon Anderson of Atlantic, Iowa
has captured the 2009 National Championship in the International Motor
Contest Association (IMCA) Hobby Stock division. Anderson, who competes
using the EQ CH350I spec cylinder head, won an IMCA single division
season record 43 feature races. He won 12 more races than runner-up B.J.
Dauer of Marquette, Kan. Both won four track crowns and earned the
maximum number of bonus points.
"We congratulate Shannon for capturing his second straight Hobby Stock
National Championship," said Mark Moore, EQ director of sales. "He is a
phenomenal racer that is a consistent force in every race that he

The son of five-time national Stock Car champion Jeff Anderson, Shannon
Anderson topped point standings at Buena Vista (Iowa) Raceway, the Iowa
State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, Shelby County Speedway in Harlan,
Iowa and Stuart (Iowa) Speedway in repeating as Jet Racing Northern
Region king.
