NOTES
Martin Truex Jr. and No. 1 Vaseline(r) MEN Lotion Team

History at "Martin's"ville: Truex will be making his eighth NSCS start
at the one-half mile paper clip-shaped oval. Truex has an average
starting position of 18.0 and an average finish of 19.9 at Martinsville
Speedway. Truex's best qualifying effort of second occurred for the
October race of 2007. His best finish of 10th occurred in the October
event in during the 2008 season.

"Mixing it Up" 'at Charlotte: Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 1 DJ
Hero(tm) team looked to the second race at Lowe's Motor Speedway to be a
stepping stone to finishing their season out strong. The team did just
that, by bringing home a ninth-place finish at the track known as the
"Beast of the Southeast." Accompanying their fine finishing position
was an impressive list of statistics from Charlotte as Truex carried an
average running position of tenth, spending 239 of 334 (71.6%) laps
inside the Top 15. The finish marked Truex's fourth top-10 finish of
the 2009 season.

Truex also impressed in the "DJ Booth" on Saturday as he showed off his
"Scratching and Mixing" skills at the Target(r) / DJ Hero(tm) Display
located across the street from Lowe's Motor Speedway on the "Fan
Midway." Truex challenged Activision's Doug McCracken, Brand Manager
for the DJ Hero video game, in the game to be released on Oct. 27, 2009.

Vaseline MEN(r) Lotion Returns: Vaseline MEN Lotion returns as primary
sponsor of the No. 1 Chevrolet this weekend at Martinsville Speedway.
Unilever, one of the world's largest consumer products companies,
announced on Jul. 23 that Vaseline(r) MEN Lotion would be an associate
sponsor of Target Chip Ganassi Racing and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with
Felix Sabates. Vaseline(r) MEN made it's racing debut as primary sponsor
of the No. 10 Honda Dallara driven by 2009 IndyCar Series Champion Dario
Franchitti at Edmonton, Alberta on July 26. Vaseline MEN followed
Edmonton with an appearance as primary sponsor on the No. 1 Chevrolet
driven by Martin Truex Jr. at Dover International Raceway on Sept. 27.

Vaseline(r) MEN Display on the Midway at Martinsville: Vaseline will
have an onsite tent manned by brand ambassadors to help educate NASCAR
Fans on the importance of skin health and Vaseline(r) MEN Lotion at
Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Fans will also be challenged by
interactive games at the display, including a Spinning Wheel of skin
health questions and a Simulated Pit Stop Tire change. The tire
changing display is meant to mimic the 15 seconds that it takes for
Vaseline(r) MEN to quickly absorb into your skin. The display space
will be open on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25.

Driver, Martin Truex Jr. Appearance: Earnhardt Ganassi Racing's Martin
Truex Jr. will make a 15-minute appearance at the Vaseline MEN display

Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team
MEDIA ALERT: Juan Pablo Montoya will be available in the media center
for a brief media Q&A session on Friday, Oct. 23 at 10:15 a.m. ET.

The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup: Montoya's top five streak came to
an end last weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway. An on-track incident on
lap 125 caused damage to the No. 42 Target Chevrolet and Montoya fell
back in the field. The team settled for a 35th place finish and fell
three spots in the Chase standings. Montoya now sits sixth in the
standings -195 points out of first and 65 away from third with five
races remaining.

The Chase Stats: At the midway point of the Chase, Montoya is tied with
Johnson for the most top-five finishes with four, has the second highest
average starting position of 7.8, the second highest percentage of the
fastest laps run during a race, and the second highest driver rating at
112.3.

Martinsville History: Juan Pablo Montoya will be making his sixth NSCS
start at Martinsville Speedway this weekend. This marks the sixth race
of the Chase. Montoya has an average starting position of 23.4 and an
average finishing position of 12th. He has completed 100% of the laps
and has led nine laps. His best finish at Martinsville came in the fall
2007 race where he finished eighth. Montoya has never finished worse
than 16th at the half-mile facility.

About Lowe's: What started out as a promising run at Lowe's Motor
Speedway for team Target, as Montoya took his No. 42 Lysol Chevrolet
from 18th place up to second, quickly turned dismal on lap 125 of
Saturday night's race. Montoya was lined up in the 11th position on a
restart when the cars in front of him checked up causing a chain
reaction. The No. 42 took a hard hit to the right rear quarter panel
causing significant damage. The wounded race car would not be able to
rebound from the incident and Montoya would wind up in the 35th position
at the end of a very long night.
