STAR 2009 Implementation Award Winners
MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 19, 2009 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), a global information technology (IT) standards body for retail automotive and related industries, today announced award recipients based on STAR Implementation Survey results. These awards are granted annually by STAR.
The purpose of conducting the yearly STAR Implementation Surveys is to internally track and manage the STAR Standard implementations among the STAR membership. The information gathered from the STAR membership that complete the yearly STAR Implementation Survey is reviewed, analyzed and tracked by the STAR Data Architects.
The STAR Organization compiles the information gathered from the completed surveys and announces the yearly STAR Implementation Winners. The purpose of the STAR Implementation Awards is to acknowledge and increase membership participation and support for implementing STAR Standards. This has been a great membership, marketing and awareness tool for both the STAR Organization as well as its contributing members. We have received great results and feedback.
The 2009 STAR Implementation Winners are as follows:
First place Retail System Provider Implementation Award for Data Transfer Specifications (DTS) was delivered to ADP, with second place awarded to Auto/Mate Inc.
First place Retail System Provider Implementation Award for Business Object Documents (BOD) winner was PBS, with second place going to Auto/Mate Inc.
First place Award for OEM BOD implementations was given to Navistar and PACCAR, who tied for the top honor.
First place for OEM DTS implementation was awarded to BMW.
And the 2009 Appreciation Award for Excellent Commitment to STAR was presented to Jason Loeffler of KARMAK. This award is presented yearly to STAR members that have proven to go above and beyond their role as a member and be highly involved and committed to STAR projects as well as the betterment of the STAR Organization as a whole.
