RAIN POSTPONES MID-SOUTH NATIONALS TO MEMPHIS MOTORSPORTS PARK
MATT SMITH NOTES AND QUOTES

MEMPHIS (Oct. 4, 2009) - Rain has postponed the NHRA Mid-South Nationals at
Memphis Motorsports Park until Monday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m.

Matt Smith, rider of the Nitro Fish Ultimate Gear Suzuki Pro Stock
Motorcycle, who qualified No. 2 and faces Redell Harris in the opening round
of eliminations, commented on the rain delay:

³Iıve been resting, browsing the internet a little bit," he said of his
waiting day in the rain. "Just hanging out with the guys and thatıs about
it. Iıve got a little game on my iPod thatıs called Cubes, and Iıve been
playing that a little bit. Just taking it easy, really. Thereıs not much we
can do in this situation.

³The only thing Iım worried about now is I have a little boy (son Tristan)
that Iım supposed to get tomorrow evening and Iıve got dogs at home, too.
Iıve got to figure out plans to get them taken care of, so thatıs all Iım
really worried about.

"Weıve still got a good bike and it doesnıt matter; we just want to run this
bike.²
