Miller Delivers Another Good Performance

Hesperia, September 27, 2009: Joel Miller put in another performance for Andersen Racing over the weekend by crossing the line 4th at the checkered flag recording his 8th top 5 finish this season during the 2009 Star Mazda presented by Goodyear series.

During the course of the race which only saw one caution on lap 1, Miller ran in 3rd the majority of the time. Lap traffic played a key role in the race as Miller had to negotiate many slower cars which closed the gap that he gained at the beginning of the race to the cars behind him. However, he fought to keep the final podium position which was a great effort despite a few issues he was having with the chassis but just fell to 4th as the race came to a close.

“As a racing driver it is my job to cope with a situation and that is what I had to do today. I believe we had a top 5 car so made sure to finish within that and bring points toward the team championship for Dan Andersen. We have some homework to do before the final round at Mazda Raceway in 2 weeks to finish the year out on the top step of the podium; it can be done,” commented Miller after his feature race at Road Atlanta.

Next up is Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 2 weeks time for the final round of the Star Mazda Championship.
