MULGRAVE, UNITED KINGDOM – September 28, 2009: Only available in Brilliant Black exterior paint, the Special Edition 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser comes with a host of extras that not only add value but also differentiate the already unique appearance of the PT Cruiser.

All-new cross-hatched, solid billet aluminium grille is individually milled and machined for a true sense of customisation. New 17-inch SRT Design wheels provide an athletic stance while filling up Chrysler PT Cruiser’s uniquely styled fenders. Chromed body-side trim spears provide subtle highlights.

New Embossed Momentum seat fabric has a performance feel, detailed look and expressive design via secondary layered silver accents. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with bright silver accents provides a great view to the large satin-silver finished gauge cluster with chromed rings. Premium floor mats add a final touch to this Special Edition Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Chrysler is limiting production of its factory-customised PT Cruiser and only a handful of these vehicles are making their way to Australia.

Based off of the 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring, the Special Edition is available with the 2.4-litre powertrain that is perfect for cruising any avenue. The standard 2.4-litre naturally aspirated 16-valve petrol engine produces 105 kW and 214 N.m of torque and is coupled to a 5-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission.

The 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Special Edition is well appointed with standard equipment including: power windows with auto-down function on both front windows, AM/FM stereo with six-disc CD player, 65/35 fold/tumble/removable rear seats, a centre console with sliding armrest and storage, Chrysler signature analogue clock, compass, temperature display, air conditioning, manually adjustable front seats with seat heaters, floor mats, cruise control and leather-wrapped steering wheel. To top off interior appointments and as an added bonus, a 368-watt Boston Acoustics premium sound system and power sunroof are standard.

Standard exterior equipment includes body-colour front and rear fascias, body-colour fog lamp surrounds, Chrysler winged badge on the hood and lift gate, billet aluminium cross-hatch pattern grille, chromed door handles, chromed body-side trim spars, 17-inch SRT Design wheels, fog lamps and a hoop spoiler on the rear.
