USAC Midgets and Sprints to
challenge Roseville this Saturday
Hamilton and Walker among entries
for Camping World Series West under card

Lincoln,
Calif. – This weekend, the United States Auto Club Western Midgets and Sprint
Cars will compete at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. in the “Riebes
Auto Parts USAC 100�?? as part of the “Toyota/Copart 150�?? weekend at the one-third mile
asphalt oval.

For the
second consecutive season, USAC will compete along with of the NASCAR Camping
World Series West. In 2008, USAC Western Sprints entertained a crowd of over
3,500 at the half-mile Altamont Raceway Park.

This
year’s event at All American Speedway is the 2009 Camping World Series
finale, and is attracting huge ticket sales with a star-studded roster of
drivers. Event organizers expect well over 4,000 fans in the stands on Saturday
night.

The 50
lap feature for the USAC Western Midgets marks the first appearance of the
series at Roseville in 32 seasons. Leading the Midgets into Roseville will be points leader Garrett
Hansen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. Hansen has been running
double-duty in both the USAC/CRA and USAC Western Midgets with great success.

He leads
the points in the mighty four-cylinder midgets by 124 markers over fellow southern
California racer Jerome Rodela.

Others
expected to compete include 18 year-old Tanner Swanson who was the feature
winner at Madera last week, Kruseman Racing’s Alex Schutte of Redding, Calif.,
Western Speed Racing entries from Indianapolis 500 veteran Davey Hamilton and
young Billy Wease, and five-time USAC champion Tony Hunt.

Recently
crowned 2009 King of California, Tyler Walker, leads off the impressive entry
list for the 50 lap USAC Western Sprint Car feature. Walker will be driving the #1 car for
Alan Kaiser.

The
feature will be the fifth and final appearance at the speedway for the 360
cubic inch sprint cars capable of 12 second laps around the track.

Walker will be busy with points leader
Tanner Swanson, who is running double-duty. Swanson has three main event wins
so far in the sprint cars to lead JoJo Helberg by 84 points.

Tony Hunt
and Davey Hamilton will also be saddling up for double-duty efforts. Santa Rosa’s Brian McClish, popular
Chowchilla racer Eric Humphries, and Fresno school teacher Audra Sasselli are
also entered.

Fields of
16-18 cars are expected for each division in the USAC competition.
Â
Action
gets underway Friday night with an optional practice session. On Saturday,
teams will take part in two practice sessions with the second practice times
used to set the grid for the features. The USAC Midget feature will kick off
the night at approx. 6 p.m.
