Southern California Custom Car Creations Featured at Unique Auction Event
Preeminent international auction house, RM Auctions, set to lift the gavel on an unprecedented, private collection of American racers, hot rods, custom vehicles and 'kustom kulture' memorabilia at the Icons of Speed & Style event, September 26th, 2009 at the Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles.
BLENHEIM, Ontario, Sept. 21 -- Valuable works from the originators of Southern California's 'kustom kulture' movement representing some of the most unique and iconic vehicles of our time are up for auction Saturday, September 26 at the famed Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
"Southern California's significant influence on the hot rod and custom car culture is prominently represented in this exciting offering of unique creations from the likes of Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth and Von Dutch," said Ian Kelleher, President and COO, RM Auctions.

In total a selection of 80 vehicles from a single-owner collection are set to cross the block, including the instantly-recognizable 1964 Ed Roth Road Agent, the life-size 'Hot Wheels' 1965 Dodge Deora Concept Car, Movie World's 1965 Ford E100 Econoline "Von Dutch" Van and the LA proper 1935 Ford V8 "Rat Rod" Pickup.
Ed "Big Daddy" Roth original art work and kustom crafted clothes, and examples of Von Dutch's tools are among the 70 lots of 'kustom kulture' memorabilia on offer.
Doors open at 9:00 am Pacific Time and the auction action kicks off at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 26th, with a full-day preview on Friday, September 25th. Event admission is the purchase price of the official catalog, available for $80 and admits two.
