USAR Pro Cup Series Announces 2010 Schedule;
Will Visit 11 Tracks In 8 States, Add 5 New Venues

CONCORD, N.C. (September 19, 2009) – A companion race with NASCAR's Nationwide Series at Iowa Speedway, a return to Bristol Motor Speedway, and the addition of five tracks highlight the 2010 USARacing Pro Cup Series schedule that will visit nearly a dozen venues in eight states, it was announced Saturday by series officials.
The season for the nation's premier short-track series also was increased to 16 races next year with the Championship Series consisting of five events.
“The 2010 schedule represents our continued commitment to expanding the geographic footprint and the elevation of quality venues,�?? Larry Camp, the series managing partner, said. “We are tremendously encouraged by the support of the tracks on the schedule. They have exhibited their true partnership with the series. We believe the schedule will pay great dividends for all of our stakeholders.�??
In 2010, the USARacing Pro Cup Series season begins March 27 at the half-mile Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Ga. It returns to the renovated track, formerly known as Peach State Speedway, on Oct. 23. Also hosting two events next season are Langley Speedway in Hampton, Va., May 29 and Aug. 14, and South Boston Speedway in South Boston, Va., June 12 and the season finale on Nov. 6.
The companion race with NASCAR's Nationwide Series at Iowa Speedway is set for Friday, July 30, the day before the Nationwide race.
Joining Gresham Motorsports Park and Bristol Motor Speedway [May 15] as added venues for the 2010 season are New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on April 17; Lake Erie Speedway in Erie, Pa., on June 26; and Salem Speedway in Salem, Ind., on
July 10.

“The 2010 schedule, while adding new venues and keeping existing venues from 2009, in my opinion, makes this a very exciting and unique 2010 season. We plan to have the two TBA dates solidified in the very near future.�??
