Ford Live Turns Melbourne Pink With "The Breast Darn Show in Town"

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – September 18, 2009: Ford Live! will stage an exclusive comedy gala in Melbourne, ‘The Breast Darn Show in Town’, to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation this October.
For one night only, the gala event, hosted by Julia Morris, will showcase some of Australia’s best loved comedians and personalities including: Corinne Grant, Felicity Ward, Hannah Gadsby, Rebel Wilson, George McEncroe, Sam Simmons, Dave Thornton, Michael Chamberlin, Celia Pacquala, Jordan Raskopoulos and Justin Hamilton.
Taking place at Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday, 24 October 2009 from 7:30pm, The Breast Darn Show in Town will tickle its audience pink with a unique mix of stand up comedy, improvisation, and musical theatre, to support October’s Breast Cancer Month.
”I’m proud to be involved in this show and to help the National Breast Cancer Foundation raise funds for prevention and cure of the disease,,” said NBCF ambassador Corrine Grant. “I’m also planning on making some jokes about boobs!”
All money raised through ticket sales will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation, to fund breast cancer research.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster from 24 August 2009, with prices starting at $36.
National Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Sue Murray said, “The Breast Darn Show in Town will not only raise vital funds for breast cancer research, but it also promises to be an entertaining night out, and for the first time will unite many of our favourite comedians in support of the Foundation.”
