Hyundai's John Krafcik to Address AIADA's 40th Annual Meeting in Orlando

International Auto Dealers Reflect on the Past, Look to the Future

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) announced today that John Krafcik, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor America, will provide the keynote address at AIADA's 40th Annual Meeting and Luncheon on February 15, 2010 in Orlando, Fla. This year's meeting will focus on the theme of "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow," as AIADA celebrates 40 years representing America's international auto dealers,

"In recent years, John has helped engineer Hyundai's growth and emergence as a leader among international nameplates," said AIADA President Cody Lusk. "As AIADA looks back on the past 40 years, I believe he will provide valuable insight on what America's international auto dealers can expect in the years to come."

As president and CEO, Krafcik oversees the implementation of strategic direction and management of Hyundai Motor America's operations. He joined the company in 2004 and served as its vice president of product development and strategic planning. Prior to his time at Hyundai, Krafcik made his mark on the automotive industry by working at Ford Motor Company, serving as an industry consultant on lean production, and working on GM and Toyota's joint-venture at the NUMMI production facility in California.

In addition to Krafcik's remarks, AIADA's 40th Annual Meeting & Luncheon will feature the presentation of the David F. Mungenast Lifetime Achievement Award and the passing of the gavel from current AIADA chairman Russ Darrow of Wisconsin to Chairman Elect Rick DeSilva of New Jersey.
