OEConnection Recognized as One of the Best Workplaces in Northeast Ohio for Sixth Consecutive Year

RICHFIELD, Ohio, Sept. 17 -- OEConnection LLC, the leading Online Parts & Service Exchange in the automotive industry, announced today its recognition as a NorthCoast 99 award winner for the sixth consecutive year. Sponsored by the Employers Resource Council (ERC) - Northeast Ohio's leading and largest professional organization dedicated to HR practices, programs and services - this award honors the 99 best workplaces for top talent in northeast Ohio.

NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program honoring 99 great workplaces for top talent in Northeast Ohio. ERC defines great workplaces as those that excel in the attraction, retention, and motivation of Top Performers by maintaining a culture and a foundation of organizational policies and practices that are designed to support the needs of these employees. ERC contends that these great workplaces have a competitive advantage in the marketplace, which makes them more innovative and successful.

NorthCoast 99 seeks nominations from associates throughout the region rather than directly from the organizations. Nominated organizations then complete a detailed description of their programs, policies, and benefits. These nominated organizations also select five top performing associates to complete an online survey selecting their top two most important job attributes and multiple questions measuring aspects of employee engagement. ERC then compiles this information from the winning organizations into a comprehensive report and shares it with participating organizations as a guidebook on the region's most successful practices.

OEConnection received its 2009 award at a banquet ceremony sponsored by ERC at LaCentre Conference & Banquet Facility in Westlake, Ohio on September 17.
