NOTES
Martin Truex Jr. and No. 1 Rain-X(r) Team

New Hampshire History: Martin Truex Jr. will be making his eighth NSCS
start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. Truex has an average
starting position of 11.1 and an average finish of 13.7 at the
1.058-mile oval. His best finish at NHMS came in June 2007 when Truex
drove the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet to a third-place finish. This
Spring Truex was running in fifth when he became the victim of a chain
reaction wreck during a restart on lap 174. His badly damaged car could
not be fixed and he was relegated to a 37th-place finish.

About Richmond: Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker
Boats team started the weekend out strong as they qualified on the
outside pole for Saturday night's race at Richmond International
Raceway. Truex ran in the top-15 for most of the night but on lap 278
the No. 13 car got into the right-front tire of the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops
Chevy and cut the tire down, damaging the fender and the steering. Crew
Chief Kevin "Bono" Manion called Truex to the garage and the No. 1 Bass
Pro Shops team quickly went to work. The team returned to the track on
lap 332 in 39th position, 54 laps down but the damaged race car had to
return to the garage on lap 381 and the No. 1 Bass Pro Chevy was done
for the evening, eventually finishing 39th.

Rain-X(r) on the Hood: The Rain-X(r) brand will make its debut as the
primary sponsor on the No. 1 Chevrolet of Martin Truex Jr. for this
weekend's NSCS race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H. For
more than 30 years, the legendary Rain-X(r) Original Glass Treatment has
been dramatically improving wet weather driving visibility by causing
precipitation to bead up and roll off vehicle windshields.

The No. 1 Chevrolet Impala SS's bright yellow and blue design draws
inspiration from the yellow and blue color scheme that has become
synonymous with the Rain-X(r) brand. Race fans should be sure to look
for the Rain-X(r) logo on the hood of the No. 1 Chevy along with the
giant "beaded" rain drops running off the windshield and down the sides
of the front quarter-panels of the No. 1 Chevrolet Impala SS.

utilizes Rain-X products both on and off the race track.

"Bono" goes Modified Racing: Crew Chief Kevin "Bono" Manion will be
pulling double duty this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Manion
is bringing his Whelen Modified Car to the race track with Ryan Newman
behind the wheel to race in the New Hampshire 100 on Saturday, Sept. 19
at 1:00 ET. This will be the fourth race of the year for Newman and
Manion in the Modified Car.

In the Points: After the race at Richmond International Raceway Truex
and the No. 1 Chevrolet team remain 24th in the NSCS standings.

Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team
MEDIA ALERT: Juan Pablo Montoya will be available in the media center
for a brief media Q&A session on Friday, Sept. 18 at 10:45 a.m. ET.

In the Chase: Juan Pablo Montoya has become the first international,
the first Hispanic and first former Formula 1 driver to clinch a spot in
the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase. In his third full-season, Columbian-born
Montoya secured a spot in the Chase after a 19th-place finish at
Richmond. Montoya comes into the first race of the Chase in the 11th
seed with 5,000 points. Veteran Mark Martin is ranked first with 5,040
points.

100 and Counting: Not only does the race at New Hampshire mark the
first race for Montoya in the Chase, it also marks his 100th career
start in the NSCS. Montoya wasted no time making his presence known in
the NASCAR world after transitioning from open-wheel cars to the NSCS.
Montoya became the first Latino to win in NASCAR's premier Series and
capture the Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year title in his inaugural season.
Over the course of three years, Montoya has tallied one pole, one win,
seven top-five and 21 top-10 finishes.

Birthday Wishes: Montoya will celebrate his 34th birthday on Sunday at
New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

New Hampshire History: Juan Pablo Montoya will be making his sixth NSCS
start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend. He has an average
starting position of 20.4 and an average finishing position of 20.6 in
his five prior NSCS starts. Montoya's best finish of 12th came in his
last NSCS start at the one-mile oval in the spring. He's led six laps
and has completed 99.8% of the possible laps at NHMS; 1454 out of 1457.

About Richmond: A solid finish in Richmond is all the team needed to
secure a spot in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase. They sat eighth in points
with an 88 point cushion over 13th position. Montoya and the No. 42
Target team came into the weekend with a conservative approach and the
strategy paid off. Montoya was able to run a clean race and cross the
finish line in the 19th position. He and 11 other NSCS drivers will now
compete for the championship.

All Across the Board: Chip Ganassi's racing stable includes Indy car
teams, NASCAR Sprint Cup teams and one team in the Rolex Grand-Am Series
and at least one team in each series is competing for a championship.
Dario Franchitti is currently second and Scott Dixon third in the
IndyCar Series point standings with just two races remaining (Japan,
Homestead-Miami). In the Rolex Grand-Am Series Scott Pruett and Memo
Rojas are in second-place in the title hunt, five points behind the
leader with just two races remaining (Utah, Homestead-Miami). Now with
Montoya making the Chase for the Sprint Cup, Ganassi has drivers vying
for championships in each series that he participates in.

2009 In Numbers: Montoya and the Target team have one pole award, two
top-fives, 12 top-10 and 16 top-15 finishes in the 2009 season. In the
26 Cup races run this season Montoya has earned 20 top-20 finishes. He
has led 164 laps and averages a starting position of 12.6 and a
finishing position of 13.8 for the season. They have completed 7319 of
out 7336 possible laps (99.8%) this season which ranks third for active
drivers.
