JAMA is pleased to announce the publication of the 2009 edition 
of Powering Up Hand-in-Hand - Partnership in the Auto Industry 
between ASEAN and Japan (in English).  First appearing in 2003, 
this annual booklet contains comprehensive, updated information on 
the past and present activities of JAMA and its member companies 
in the ASEAN region.

The 2009 edition of Hand-in-Hand features:


  - An outline (in easy-to-read chart format) of the operations of 
   Japanese automobile manufacturers and their local partners in 
   Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, 
   Thailand and Vietnam, including product listings, production 
   capacity, and numbers of employees at individual facilities.

  - Production, export and sales data of passenger cars, trucks 
   and buses  by JAMA members and their local partners in ASEAN. 
   Figures of plant facilities and employment in the ASEAN countries.

  - An overview of JAMA members' recent activities in support of 
   ASEAN's automobile sector.

  - JAMA members companies' activities within the ASEAN region 
   including new/additional investment, production/sales and 
   exports, technology transfer, human resources development and 
   social contribution.
