ARCHITECTURAL STUDENTS AT GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SOUTHERN POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY TO ATTEND GLASSBUILD AMERICA® IN ATLANTA SEPT. 30 - OCT. 2

WASHINGTON, DC (September 14, 2009) - Architectural students from Georgia Institute of Technology and Southern Polytechnic State University will get practical insight on the architectural design requirements of glazing and architectural glass at GlassBuild America, the largest gathering of glass, window and door professionals in North America. The Expo will be held Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The students will attend several high-level seminars on solar energy and energy efficiency to learn about the trend toward "green building" worldwide, including technological improvements, customer demands and the policy and codes that are shaping the energy-efficiency landscape. They also will tour the show floor.

"Collaboration between architects and the glass industry is critically important as glazing and architectural glass become increasingly key in buildings today," said David Walker, NGA's vice president for association services. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to reach out to the next generation of architects through GlassBuild America® to create better understanding among our industries."
