Steve Harker Focused On Giving Hometown Crowd A Fast Showing At Atlanta

Commerce, September 13, 2009: NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car driver, Steve Harker is still smiling after his runner-up success at last weekend US Nationals in Indianapolis. This weekend, Steve and his Lucas Oil Chevy Monte Carlo team are set to take on the best at the Southeast Division Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Event this weekend at Atlanta Dragway.

Harker, who drove his 260 mph Top Alcohol Funny Car to his best ever finish at the prestigious US Nationals, earning a runner-up finish, is excited about this coming weekends race being close to his American hometown of Gainesville, Ga.

"Atlanta Dragway is our home track here in the United States" said the Australian veteran driver "A lot of our team sponsors are based here in Georgia and we are very excited to have many of them and our friends coming out to cheer us on this weekend."

Harker will be joined by his twin daughters, Kate and Diana Harker who have been actively promoting the Atlanta Dragway event having given out over 4000 tickets which also included a busy media schedule leading into the event.

This weekend will see the Harker Motorsports team joined by Aflac Insurance agents, Andrea Brock and Kirkland Wilson to promote the wonderful and unique benefits offered by the premier Georgia based Company. The Harker family would like to invite all who attend the event to stop by and meet with Andrea and Kirkland and also to spend time with the Harker family. The Harker Motorsports team along with Aflac Insurance agents Andrea Brock and Kirkland Wilson will have prizes and give-a-ways across the weekend. Qualifying for the Top Alcohol cars begin on Saturday at 3.30pm and 6pm. Eliminations will start on Sunday at 1pm.
