West Lebanon, NY:  The scene is set for the end of the 57th Racing Season at the legendary high banks of lebanon Valley Speedway.

 

"We are putting the final cap on a season that has given us a little of everything" noted Speedway Manager Lyle Devore.  " We have been going 24/7 since April and it's time to finish up all the exciting racing here and take a minute to catch our collective breaths".

 

Devore wasn't far from the truth, as the Valley of Speed battle weather most of the season, loosing 5 Saturday Night affairs to Mother Nature.  The biggest challenge coming August 1st as the rains came in record amounts - dumping more than 3 feet of rain in a 12 hour period, turning the entire Lebanon Valley Complex into a 100 acre lake!

 

"Even with the flood we had back in August, we still got the job done with only losing 1 week of racing"  added Devore.  But the racing itself is what kept the crowds coming for more.  "Right now, the Pro Stock point title was clinched by just 2 points, the Modifieds were less than 75 points, and the Sportsman are finishing up this week with the top 4 under 60 points apart!".  You just can't write a better script for a place that has been around for so long.

 

Another successful season is about to come to a close with a highlighted DIRTCar Pro Stock Tour Race, last night of points for Sportsman and Budget Sportsman, along with Limited Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks.  Like Last weeks $500.00 to win Boomer's Performance Pure Stock Classic, this week features a special Johnny O Pure Stock 20 lap Shoot Out.
