EPSOM, UNITED KINGDOM – September 10, 2009: The new generation full hybrid Toyota Prius has proved again to be the car of choice for Climatecars, an eco-friendly taxi service operating in London. Already a Toyota customer, the company has been operating Prius since they started business in 2007.

Founder of Climatecars, 25 year old entrepreneur Nicko Williamson, who continues to grow the business through the recession, said, “We have chosen the new Prius due to its lower emissions and practicality as an executive car. Climatecars will take delivery of 10 cars in September and October. Our customers love the previous generation model with many commenting on how quiet the car is and questions about the energy monitor.

"We have used Prius for over two years already and have not had any reliability issues. This new model will continue to satisfy our needs providing our growing client list of over 400 corporate account holders with a quiet comfortable environmentally friendly ride along with our professional service they have come to expect. Climatecars is passionate about delivering the best possible level of service with the lowest emissions and therefore the new Prius is the natural choice for us. Toyota has demonstrated its commitment to emissions reduction with the new Prius.”

Their current fleet of Prius will be replaced over the next two years with the new generation model and will continue their corporate theme of metallic grey cars with black leather interiors. The new Toyota Prius with its class leading CO2 figure of just 89g/km will see Climatecars offering their corporate customers the opportunity of reducing their carbon footprints. They can also be reassured by the Carbon offsetting policy adopted by Climatecars which means that every mile covered will be logged and offset through the Carbon Clear. The cars supplied through Jemca Toyota in London will carry out hundreds of journeys each week covering around 30,000 miles per year.

The new generation Prius uses the latest development of Hybrid Synergy Drive and can offer significant savings to fleets with a combined mpg figure of 72.4, zero road tax and exemption from the London Congestion Charge.

The most technologically advanced car on the road Prius features a heads up display showing speed and eco drive monitor as standard and can also be specified with a solar panel roof.
