JAGGERS'S WIN AT NHRA SUMMIT FINALS HELPS TEAM FIREBIRD TAKE HOME THE
CHAMPIONSHIP

            WOODBURN, Ore. (Sept. 7, 2009) - It was a day later than
scheduled but the squad from Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho, took home the
team championship from the NHRA Northwest Division Summit Racing Series
Finals at Woodburn Dragstrip.  Teams of racers representing tracks across
the division converged on Woodburn Dragstrip in a quest for individual and
team honors.

            The team from Woodburn had three racers in the final rounds, and
two of them were facing off against each other.  Firebird's team had two
racers in the final rounds and came away with one win.  Ultimately, the
group from Boise scored 70 points to Woodburn's 66.

            Middleton, Idaho's Chris Jaggers helped lead his team to
victory, scoring the win in Super Pro.  Jaggers beat out Shawn Herbst of
Selah, Wash., who was running for Renegade Raceway. 

            The Sportsman winner was Adam DePeel, Clackamas, Ore., racing
for Woodburn.  DePeel wheeled his '78 Camaro to the win over Ken Green,
Happy Valley, Wash., representing Portland Int'l Raceway in his '67
Chevelle.  

            The Motorcylce/Snowmobile final pitted two Woodburn racers
against each other.  In the end, Portland, Ore.'s Mark Adams rode his '01
Kawasaki to the win over Roger Wolff, Dundee, Ore.  Wolff, aboard his '06
Kawasaki, was also the runner-up in Saturday's Race of Champions
competition.

            Ken Windley, Caldwell, Idaho, from team Firebird, fell to Robby
Hornby, Spokane Valley, Wash., who was racing for Spokane County Raceway in
the Pro final.  

            The win in the Sport Compact final went to Gerald Patzer,
Abbotsford, B.C., running for Eagle Motorplex.  He jettisoned Sheila
Lawrence of Port Orchard, Wash.  She was racing from the team from Bremerton
Raceway.

            The group from Bremerton Raceway garnered the coveted Team
Spirit Award with their Killer Bee theme.
