                                                           USARacing Pro Cup Series Implements Owners Bonus Program For 2010

CONCORD, N.C. (September 4, 2009) – An Owners Bonus Program worth $5,500 per race will be implemented for the 2010 season by the USARacing Pro Cup Series, it was announced Friday by Vice President and Series Director Jimmy Wilson.

Under the program, the top-12 owners in the series final standings, who also competed in 60 percent of the 2009 regular season events, will receive the money if they enter and compete in each regular season event next year. The money paid from the Owners Bonus Program is in addition to the winnings acquired in each race.

“We are very grateful to all of the owners and drivers who have stayed with us during our first season with the series new owners and produced excellent racing for the fans,�?? Wilson said. “We had an Owners Bonus Program when it was the Hooters Pro Cup Series, but with the series ownership change in January, it was a program we had to put on the back-burner for 2009. We are thrilled to be able to reinstate it for 2010. We appreciate our team owners for remaining with us during this transition, and we want to help them in every way possible to defray their costs. Our intent will be to continue to grow the plan going forward.�?? 

Under the program, the 2009 championship team owner will receive $1,000 after each regular season race in 2010. The money paid will then decrease in specified increments with the owner who finished 12th in the 2009 standings receiving $100.
