Opel/Vauxhall appoint Amsterdam Worldwide for Meriva European launch

Opel/Vauxhall has appointed international communications agency Amsterdam
Worldwide to launch the groundbreaking new Opel Meriva across Europe. The
car will be unveiled in March 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

Amsterdam Worldwide has previously launched pan-European integrated
campaigns for the Opel Agila and Chevrolet Captiva, and award winning work
for the Chevrolet Aveo.

Integrated pan-European campaign to launch the groundbreaking new Opel
Meriva

International communications agency Amsterdam Worldwide has been appointed
by Opel/Vauxhall to launch the groundbreaking new Opel Meriva across Europe.

 

The agency won the business in a 4-way pitch against McCann-Erickson, Lowe
London and DLKW. The budget is undisclosed.

 

The eagerly awaited Opel Meriva will be unveiled in March 2010 at the Geneva
Motor Show. The newly designed Meriva takes flexibility to new heights with
its innovative "FlexDoors" system.

 

Amsterdam Worldwide's brief is to produce an integrated campaign that brings
to life the innovative Meriva with the target audience by connecting with
them on an emotional platform. The campaign will run across all European
markets.

 

Brian Elliott, founder and chief executive of Amsterdam Worldwide, said:
