Frank and Speedco Ready to Tackle Concord Motor Speedway

*Frank and Speedco Ready to Tackle Concord Motor Speedway *

*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

Troutman, N.C. (September 2, 2009) – AJ Frank returns to the Pro Cup Series
with sponsor, Speedco, for the first time since Hickory back in July. Frank
will rejoin the rest of the USARacing drivers as the Championship Series
begins this weekend at Concord [N.C.] Motorsports Park.

“I’m really anxious to get back in the car. As well as we’ve run in the
past [this season] and now that I have some more laps on the racetrack, I’m
pretty confident about what we can do this weekend.”

Frank will be entering the Championship Series 18th in the standings, 86
points behind close friend and Series points’ leader, Clay Rogers. He says
his starting position will “make it awfully hard to win the Championship,
but stranger things have happened.” He does feel confident knowing he’s
going into the final run with full sponsorship from Speedco for three of the
four final events; this weekend at Concord’s high banked tri-oval, Iowa
Speedway on Sept. 19, and “The Rock” in Rockingham, N.C., on Oct. 10.
Depending
on how well they run in those events, a possibility for the season finale at
South Boston, Va. on Oct. 31.

“We have the first three races confirmed. After Rockingham we will evaluate
where we’re at and hopefully we are in a position where we can get some
support for the final race,” explained Frank. “Darrin Odle is the
Motorsports Director for Speedco, and he has been really instrumental in
making this happen. So we will talk to see what we can do for South
Boston.”

Frank ran the season opener Pro Cup event at Concord back on April 4, where
he finished sixth in his track debut. He recently ran a late model to get
more seat time and prepare for this weekend’s event. Frank has also been
working closely with his Mac Hill Motorsports team since his last time in
the car, including serving as the Crew Chief for Joe Gaita at Langley
Speedway a few weeks ago.

“We had a good run there until we had some electrical problems,” commented
Frank. “I learned a lot about the car though and hopefully that will help
me this weekend.”

The Concord 250 starts at 7:30 pm on Saturday, September 5 at Concord [N.C.]
Speedway. You can also see all the action from the Concord event on your
local FSN station on Sunday, October 25 at 11:30am.
