Thousands of Bikers Cruise Into Sin City for Ninth Annual Las Vegas BikeFest(R), October 1-4, 2009

Four Day Extravaganza Draws National Crowd of Motorcycle Enthusiasts

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 1 -- Hailing from across the country, more than 30,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to roll into Las Vegas to attend the ninth annual Las Vegas BikeFest , a national motorcycle and biker rally held in Sin City October 1-4, 2009. The four-day motorcycle rally allows people to immerse themselves in biker culture as they meet some of the world's most skilled custom motorcycle builders, tour more than 250 booths in Vendor Village featuring motorcycles, parts, accessories and apparel, and view one-of-a-kind bike exhibitions, according to Harry Schwartz, president of Full Throttle Events, one of Las Vegas BikeFest's partners.

"As was true with past years, Las Vegas BikeFest 2009 will deliver on its promise of being an action-packed weekend that keeps guests entertained with a variety of activities, including a daily concert series and biker build offs," says Schwartz. "We are excited to bring together some of the top names within the custom bike industry and can guarantee that people will be impressed with what they see at this year's show."

2009 Las Vegas BikeFest marks the sixth annual Artistry in Iron, Master Builders' Championship, an invitation-only, peer judged competition between approximately 20 of the industry's most innovative and progressive custom bike builders. Sponsored by American Cycle Magazine, this year's championship pits some of today's most notable master bike builders, including Michael Barragan, Gard Hollinger, Kris Krome and Bryan Fuller, in a head-to-head battle as they unveil their newest designs.

Event guests will have the opportunity to get in the action by entering their bikes in the Custom Bike Show, taking place at Cashman Center for the first time (and relocated from its longtime home at Fremont Street), on Saturday, October 3. This show will display some of the coolest bikes from around the country and award the winning participant in the Radical Class with a $3,000 cash prize, a customized trophy produced by Rampage Wheels and automatic qualification in the 2010 Artistry in Iron, Master Builders' Championship.

Additional show events will include a World's Strongest Biker contest, Harley-Davison demo rides, $100,000 Poker Run, Mr. and Miss Las Vegas BikeFest Competitions, Artistry in Iron autograph signing sessions, a Bikini Contest, as well as a performance by the legendary Molly Hatchet at the new official headquarter hotel, Sahara Hotel & Casino.

The general admission price for Vendor Village at Cashman Center is $15.00 for the entire weekend. For hours and more information, visit www.lasvegasbikefest.com, call toll-free 866-BIKEFEST (245-3337), or email info@lasvegasbikefest.com.
