The NHRA MAC Tools US Nationals event is scheduled to take place at the beautiful O'Reilly Raceway Park located in Brownsburg, IN. Harker, a resident Australian has been competing in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class for some twenty years. For the first time in his career, which has seen many wins, Harker will be taking on the crew chief duties of the family's new Top Alcohol Dragster as well as crew chief and driving duties for his Top Alcohol Funny Car. The family's dragster will be driven by one of Steve's twin daughters, Diana Harker. Steve will become one of few team owners, crew chiefs and drives to have two competitive vehicles on track at the same event. Steve's other daughter Kate will also be competing alongside her twin sister in the Top Alcohol Dragster class. This looks to be a family fun weekend for the Harker's. Kate will be taking the wheel of the Randy Meyer Racing Injected Nitro Dragster. This will make a great showdown should the twins meet in qualifying or competition. The Injected Nitro Dragsters and Blown Alcohol dragsters have always created interest amongst racers and fans of the Top Alcohol Dragster class. Steve had a successful outing with his Top Alcohol Funny Car this previous weekend in Bowling Green, KY to get himself and team warmed up for the US Nationals event. You can be sure there will be a hive of activity surrounding the Harker family pits across this weekend's event. Steve has called upon Grant Storms, a native of the Injected Nitro Dragsters to assist and oversee the running of the family's Top Alcohol Dragster. "We have been testing a lot coming into this event with the Dragster" says Steve "We are getting close to finding the power combination the dragster wants to be consistent. Diana has been doing a great job driving and we have good crew helping out this weekend which should keep our race operations running smoothly." "I had been out of the funny car for several weeks before this last weekend's event in Bowling Green, and it felt good to get back in and go rounds out there." Steve and his twin daughters, Kate and Diana will begin qualifying for the US Nationals starting this Friday.
