One of those drivers was Championship leader Miller, driver of the No. 28 Team MER/MOCA/RaceNowforAutism/MMP MX-5. Miller was fined 29 points and $750 for avoidable body contact during the race. As a result, Miller dropped to second in the MX-5 Cup point standings, 18 points behind Lamb.
