Still Time to Get in on the Action - Salvation Army Has Room for You in the 'Ride for the Red Shield' Motorcycle Run

CARNEGIE, Pa., Aug. 27, 2009 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Salvation Army of Westmoreland County has room for you to ride. Slated for Saturday, September 5th, bike enthusiasts are invited to take part in the first annual "Ride for the Red Shield" Motorcycle Run. Helping to keep thousands of lives shielded from some of life's hardships, funds raised through this event will be used to support The Salvation Army of Westmoreland County's Red Shield Campaign.

The motorcycle run will begin and end at The Salvation Army's Delmont Service Center, located at 326 East Pittsburgh Street in Delmont. Fees are $30.00 per motorcycle and $10.00 per passenger. Lunch only is also available for family and friends at a cost of $5.00 each. Children under age seven are free. Ride for the Red Shield is a Scrabble Scramble Ride and prizes will be awarded for Best Bike, Most Original Paintjob, and Best Club Representation.
