ALT Coast-to-Coast Transport Plan Offers Alternative Vision

WHO: America's Transportation Alternative (ALT) and the Interstate Traveler Task Force

WHAT: The fourth and final hearing to investigate the viability and funding of the Interstate Traveler, a proposed high-speed transit network.

WHERE: Fox Theatre, 2211 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI 48201

WHEN: Monday, August 17; 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., with a break from noon to 12:30 p.m.

DETAILS: At this hearing, ALT will respond to a proposal put forth by the Interstate Traveler Company and present information to the Task Force regarding interstate right-of-ways by Interstate Traveler.

The transportation plan, proposed by ALT, is inspired by the organization's vision of connecting America through a high-speed rail to improve national travel, reduce the nation's carbon footprint and spur job creation.
