"Greentomatocars" Celebrates the Delivery of the Very First New Toyota Prius in London With Free Journeys

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - August 13, 2009: In August 2009, "greentomatocars" will take delivery of the very first third generation Toyota Prius in London, which boasts improved driving performance and comfort, combined with even lower carbon dioxide emissions. greentomatocars founders Tom Pakenham and Jonny Goldstone have decided to mark the occasion with a nod to the age-old tradition of London cabbies not charging for their first fare after passing "The Knowledge"
On Friday 14 August, any lucky customer that travels in the new Prius won't have to pay for their journey. Passengers will find out if they have won a free journey in the new Prius on arrival; they cannot request it upon booking.

The new Prius has had a ninety percent component redesign for a lighter more compact and efficient full hybrid system. The fuel economy in the new Prius has been improved by 10 per cent to 72.4mpg along with tax efficient CO2 emissions of 89g/km, which is down 14 per cent from the second generation Toyota Prius.
