John Moser Jr. Continues the Streak of 13 Different Late Model Winners in 13 Races at SSP on Saturday Night

Newberrytown, PA (August 8, 2009) - East Berlin's John Moser Jr. kept the streak alive on Saturday night at Susquehanna Speedway Park. Moser became the 13th different winner in as many Late Model feature races held at the northern York County oval this year. "It's pretty incredible if you think about it - 13 different winners," Moser said. Moser led the entire 20-lap chase, but it was far from easy. Moser had to contend with early challenges from Gary Potts and Alex Updegraff, and then several caution periods down the final stages of the race. "I really felt as if I had a great working car," Moser said. "I knew that as long as I kept my line, then it was going to be tough for someone to pass me." Potts settled for the second spot, while a hard-charging Jake Jones was third, Justin Ehrhart was fourth and Chase was fifth. Sixth through 10th went to Carl Graves, Smoke Christine, Kyle Saylor, Travis McClelland and Randy Christine Jr. Heat races went to Charles Potts and Travis McClelland.

Marshall McMullen became a first-time track winner as he claimed the 20-lap Street Stock feature race. McMullen received the lead when Joey Whiteley was involved in a lap 11 crash while leading.

McMullen beat Jim Palm Jr., Doug Bennett, Randy Zechman and Garrett Shover. Heat races went to George Eash and Randy Zechman.

Patrick McClane led the final 17 circuits as he claimed the 20-lap Xtreme Stock Car main event over Sam Rial, Travis Horan, Tommy Slanker and Andrew Frye. McClane and Rich Lomman won the heat races. Ken Braafhart led the entire 15-lap XSC Rookie Rumble main event, defeating Matt Sowers, Nancy Frye, Cameron Benyou and Curtis Shue.

Wes McDaniel passed Travis Beck just after the first lap was completed in the 10-lap Road Warriors feature to score the checkered flag. Christopher Holland settled for the second, while Thomas Thompson, Beck and Tom Hartman completed the top five spots. McDaniel and Holland won the qualifying events.

Tana Reisinger led flag-to-flag en route to capturing the 10-lap Women on Wheels Speedway Auto Sales Mini-Van feature race. Smokette Frye, Sherry Kitner, Vicky Anderson and Danielle Anderson completed the top five.

Racing action continues at the SSP Outback Track on Friday night, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. featuring quarter midget, kart and Speedcar racing action. This will be the fifth race of the Summer Shoot-Out Series.
