Pegasus TransTech Opening New Data Centers

TAMPA, Fla.--Pegasus TransTech announced that it is building a new corporate data center in Tampa, Fla., and will open a third data center this fall in Minneapolis, Minn., to support the company’s record growth. Pegasus TransTech is the leading provider of document management software, workflow management solutions, and truck stop scanning to the transportation industry.

The interconnected data centers, including an existing production data center in Madison, Wis., will provide the highest level of security, redundancy, and reliability for Pegasus TransTech’s fleet customers.

Pegasus TransTech’s data centers host the document images scanned at truck stops around the country through the TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning program. Authorized customers can access those documents any time for up to 14 days on the secure TRANSFLO Express web site. The geographically separated data centers provide reliable back up for TRANSFLO Express documents as well as for all Pegasus TransTech data.

At the same time, the company also announced it will relocate its Tampa corporate offices to new space in January 2010.

Pegasus TransTech’s new offices will be located in Tampa’s first LEED certified building, Westshore’s Corporate Center Four near Tampa International Airport and International Plaza. The Class A office building has been certified through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’s Green Building rating system – a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings. With Pegasus TransTech’s “Go Green, Go Paperless” solutions and long-term commitment to provide environmentally sound products and services, the move to an LEED certified office was a natural choice.
