Downing Street Garage helps Parents with Back to School Chores by Offering a Free Car Care Class for Gen Yer’s

DENVER--Downing Street Garage is taking the mystery out of car care for Gen Y’ers by offering a free car care class geared specifically for teens and college-age drivers on Saturday, August 15, from 10:30am – 12:00noon (The classes are free and open to the public, but space is limited.) This class will offer Gen Y’ers and parents answers to questions like:

• My car won’t start, what should I do?

• I have a flat tire, how do I get it fixed?

• My windshield wipers don’t work, what should I do?

• My check engine light is on, who do I call?

• How often should I change the oil?

• Is a motor club membership worth the fee?

“Because this is the time when our kids are driving back to school, we felt that it was time to help them learn the basics of how to care for their cars, whether heading to their local high school or driving cross country to college. We’ll teach them what car care means and why it’s important. We’ll show them how to recognize when it’s time to get help, and how to find it," says Douglass Kirchdorfer, co-owner, Downing Street Garage. "This is a way we can help parents keep their Gen Y’ers safely on the road.”
