MAPLE CROSS, UNITED KINGDOM – July 29, 2009: Renault UK has appointed Mark Crockett as Services and Quality Director.

Mark, 41, will be responsible for all aspects of Renault UK’s After Sales Parts and Service business. This division includes marketing, sales, and quality functions to ensure the consistent delivery of leading levels in customer experience and dealer network support. Mark will also sit on the main Renault UK Board as one of 10 Directors headed by Managing Director, Roland Bouchara.

Mark was born in Fife, Scotland and studied Engineering and Management at Loughborough University and at Politechnico di Torino in Italy. He started his career as a graduate engineer within Manufacturing with the Ford Motor Company before moving to Italy as a design engineer for the Italian Truck manufacturer, Iveco.

Mark’s sales and marketing career began with his return to the UK in 1994, when he joined Renault as Product Marketing Manager for Clio and Laguna. In 1997, he moved to the After Sales division as the Technical Support Manager where he created the Renault Nissan Technical Group Office in 2001.

After nine years at Renault UK, Mark moved to Renault’s Paris Head Office to assume wider roles, firstly as Sales and Marketing Manager for several European markets then, in 2004, he took the role as Global head of the Warranty function for the Renault Group. This enabled Mark to manage the deployment of global company strategy including start up processes in emerging markets such as Russia, Iran, and India.

In 2007, Mark moved to Nissan Europe within the Renault-Nissan Alliance as European Commercial Quality Director responsible for all aspects of the customer experience including the Sales and Service process, Dealer Network Training and Customer Service Centres.

Mark now rejoins Renault UK as Services and Quality Director, replacing Rémi Lefevre who has returned to the Parts & Accessories Division at Renault’s Paris Head Office as Project Director for Electric Vehicles, as the Company prepares for its launch of a range of EVs in 2011.

Mark Crockett said; “I am delighted to be returning to the UK to work together with our Dealer network to continue building on Renault’s recent successes of ever-increasing customer experience levels. This has been achieved through our offer of innovative products and services and the commitment of our Dealer network, who are key in the achievement of increased customer loyalty.”

Mark continued, “A prime example of our product innovation is the introduction this year of the Motrio product range of spare parts and servicing offers for our customers with vehicles more than four years old to provide more competitive servicing and maintenance solutions. By continuing to listen to both our customers and Dealers we will continue to offer better solutions to our customers and improved performance.”

Roland Bouchara, Managing Director, Renault UK commented, “It is a great pleasure to welcome Mark back to Renault UK. Mark brings a wealth of experience with him gained from his previous roles and I’m sure he will make a positive and valued contribution to the success achieved by Renault UK and strengthen our After Sales operations even further.”

Mark is married with three children and the proud owner of an immaculate red 1997 Renaultsport Spider.
