As Chrysler and GM Shut Down Dealers, Wheego Electric Cars Looks to Add Them
Company Announces National Dealer Road Show
ATLANTA - July 29, 2009: In the face of massive dealership cuts nationwide, Wheego Electric Cars is looking to stem the tide by adding select dealers for the Wheego Whip, its new plug-in electric low speed vehicle, which launches in August. To that end, the company's executives are embarking on a national road show to present the car to potential dealers from August 18 to September 26.
"The reaction from dealers who have driven the car is that it's the best electric car in its class," states Jeff Boyd, president of Wheego.

The Whip is assembled in Ontario, California, from components sourced from Tier 1 suppliers around the world. Mike McQuary, CEO of Wheego explains, "We consider the Wheego Whip an American made car. It is made with American technology and ingenuity, and more than half of the cost of the car is from North American parts suppliers. The Whip is the pre-cursor to our full speed electric plug-in car, which should be available in 2010. By stepping up now, dealers will lock down what looks to be a great future opportunity.
The 40 city road tour will include stops in the following markets: Chattanooga, TN; Knoxville, TN; Nashville, TN; Louisville, KY; Lexington, KY; Roanoke, VA; Richmond, VA; Va. Beach, VA; Raleigh, NC; San Francisco, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Birmingham, AL; Memphis, TN; Salt Lake City, UT; St. Louis, MO; Albuquerque, NM; Chicago, IL; Janesville, WI; Madison, WI; Tucson, AZ; Phoenix, AZ; Detroit, MI; San Diego, CA; Cleveland, OH; New London, OH; Palm Springs, CA; Jacksonville, FL; Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; Trenton, NJ; Orlando, FL; Baltimore, MD; New York, NY; Long Island, NY; W.
