Thursday Night's Venturini Power Hour Packed with Stars

Indianapolis, July 29, 2009: Tonight the "Venturini Motorsports Power Hour" will be packed with stars rising through the ranks of the ARCA Re/Max Series. Following their huge announcement in bringing dirt modified stand-out Steve Arpin to the Venturini Team, we'll speak with the Canadian who has raced nearly everything on land and water. Also on the show, last weekend's Berlin, Michigan ARCA competitors Pete Shepherd III and Justin Lloyd plus the team's Billy Venturini, Jr.

Steve Arpin he has now joined forces with Venturini Motorsports after competing the first half of the season with Eddie Sharp Racing. He is scheduled to run Pocono in the No. 25 car that Joey Logano drove to victory just a few short races ago.

Pete Shepherd III ran his first ARCA race with Venturini Motorsports this past weekend at Berlin and it was his first race in the series since 2007 when he ran for Roush-Fenway Racing. A former development driver with Roush, he landed the ride through Jack Roush's legendary "Gong Show." In 2005 when the show "Driver X" appeared on Discovery Channel, Pete was invited to compete and made it into the top 6 by show's end. After more training / tests, he was signed on to Roush's development deal. Shepherd has competed in ARCA, NASCAR Craftsman Truck's and a in Carl Edward's Silver Crown car. The Canadian native competed in CASCAR and had some success there winning races.

Justin Lloyd ran his first career ARCA race this past weekend at Berlin Raceway in the No.15 for Justin Lloyd Racing with crew chief Jeff McClure. Lloyd is currently running in a Legends car at the Lowe's Motor Speedway Summer Shootout and was the 2008 Concord Motorsports Park Legends champion. Look for Justin to run ARCA race at Toledo Speedway later in the year.
