NOTES
Martin Truex Jr. and No. 1 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Boats Team

Pocono History: Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet
team will make their eighth Sprint Cup Series start at Pocono Raceway on
Sunday. In seven prior events Truex has an average start and finish
position of 15.5. His best start and finish at the 2.5-mile tri-oval
came in 2007 when Truex piloted his No.1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet to a
3rd-place finish after starting 3rd. In this season's first event at
Pocono Truex posted a 18th-place finish after he was forced to pit in
the closing laps of the race for fuel.

Last Weekend: Truex and his No. 1 Chevrolet team arrived at
Indianapolis Motor Speedway with high hopes of topping their past
performances at the track. Despite battling early handling issues
during practice, the team went out and qualified 13th. As the green
flag dropped for the Sunday afternoon event, the team would soon start
to experience some of the same handling issues from practice. The team
worked hard to overcome the issues and Truex brought home a 17th-place
finish.

Bass Pro Back: Bass Pro Shops returns as primary sponsor of the No. 1
Chevrolet team this weekend. Bass Pro Shops, one of America's premier
outdoor retailers has appeared as the primary sponsor of Martin Truex's
car for six of his seven Sprint Cup Series starts at Pocono Raceway.

In the Points: After finishing in 17th-place at Indianapolis Motor
Speedway, Martin Truex Jr. remains 24th in both the owner and driver
standings.

GM Fast Fact: GM has more hybrids on the market than any other
automaker - GM today offers more hybrid vehicles for sale than any other
automaker (9). GM sold more than 14,000 hybrid vehicles in 2008.

Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team
MEDIA ALERT: Juan Pablo Montoya will be available in the media center
for a brief media question and answer session on Friday, July 31 at
10:30 a.m. ET.

Pocono History: This weekend Montoya will be making his fifth start at
Pocono Raceway. In four prior starts Montoya has an average starting
position of 19.2 and an average finish of 24.4 at the 2.5 mile oval. His
best finish came earlier this season during the Pocono 500. Rain
cancelled qualifying and the starting grid was set according to the
NASCAR rule book so Montoya would start the race in 15th. Montoya went
on to score an eighth-place finish, earning his fifth top-10 finish of
the season.

About Last Weekend: Juan Pablo Montoya and the 42 team dominated at
Indianapolis Motor Speedway before a penalty late in the race relegated
him to an 11th-place finish. Montoya took the green flag from the
outside pole and quickly took the lead on lap five. He would go on to
lead a race high 116 of the first 124 laps before pitting on lap 125
with over a five second lead. Montoya came in for a routine green-flag
pit stop but was called for speeding on pit lane and was assessed a
drive through penalty. The penalty dropped Montoya from the lead to
12th position. He took the checkered flag in 11th.

In the Points: After a strong performance at the Brickyard the 42 team
was able to end the day with another top-12 performance by finishing
11th. The finish dropped Montoya just one spot in the standings to 10th
but increased his points cushion over the 13th place driver to 100
points - his most comfortable position in the standings this season.

Did you know?: If Target were to completely fill the infield of Pocono
Raceway with an average sized 126,000-square-foot store, they could
build 37 altogether. That is only 11 fewer than the total number of
Target stores in the state of Pennsylvania.

Chevy Fast Fact: Chevy outsold Toyota by more than 30,000 total cars
and trucks for the second half of 2008 --- during a time when the
economy got tougher and the fuel and credit crises hit.

CHASSIS INFO
No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet (NSCS): Chassis #803. Chassis #803 will
be making its second start of the season at Pocono. Martin Truex Jr.
drove the chassis earlier this season at the first Pocono event. He
started the race in 19th and worked to put himself in position, but he
was forced to pit in the closing laps and finished in 18th.

No. 42 Target Chevrolet (NSCS): Chassis #819. The Target team will
bring Chassis #819 to Pocono Raceway this weekend. Montoya last drove
this chassis last weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway where he
qualified on the outside pole and lead 116 of the races 160 laps before
a penalty relegated him to an 11th-place finish.
