Wandahsega Scores Another Podium Finish

Team Wandahsega headed to Oshkosh, WI for a weekend of Sportsman racing
under the lights at Speed Zone. The Forest County Potawatomi/General Tire
Limited 2 truck was ready to battle with some of the best driver's in the
series!! Friday practice went really good, by posting the fastest lap times
in the class.

At the start of the race Ben was in rear of the 9 truck field due to being
out of the points inversion. When the flag dropped know one could make
any moves until everyone cleared the second jump after the start/finish line.
Coming out of the first corner Ben was able to make a few passes as the
truck was handling perfect. The Wegner Motor and ATD Transmission were
both pulling hard. Before the second lap saw Team Wandahsega out front in
clean air pulling away from the field. Unfortunatley Ben started blistering
his tires early, from the hard packed stock car track sections. This
dropped him to second place at the competition yellow. When the green dropped
again Ben was able to make a couple runs on first place, but was not able to
make them stick. He settled for 2nd place. The race was great. Ben got
up on the bike a couple times and made the save both times. The second time
ended his run for 1st place as he lost too much time getting back on the
track.

Saturday night saw the same start, he were 7th out of 8 trucks. This time
Ben was alot more conservative to save his tires for the end of the race.
He made a few passes stayed out of trouble waiting for the compettion
yellow, at that point he was sitting in 3rd place. When the green flag
dropped, Ben was able to make the pass for 2nd and make a run at the leader. His
truck worked very well on the looser infield section of the track, that's
where Ben was able to make up time. But in the end it wasn't enough, Ben
would only get 2nd place once again.

In the end Team Wandahsega had a great time, the truck ran perfect all
weekend. Ben and team are looking very forward to running our Sportsman truck
once more at the Fall Crandon Race.

Also, a special thanks to Traxxas R/C for new 1/16 scale Slash Truck.

Team Wandahsega will be back in the Pro 2 in two weeks at the Bark River
International Speedway.
