SnatchLatch's New Heavy Trucking Security Device to Protect Container Seals from Theft and Pilferage
AUSTIN, Texas--SnatchLatch (http://www.snatchlatch.com), the manufacturer of trailer security devices being used by the FBI and U.S. Air Force, today announced the release of two new trailer door security and shipping container security devices designed to meet the needs of the heavy trucking industry. These new SnatchLatch security devices protect the bolt seals used in heavy trucking and cargo transportation.
The two new SnatchLatch products provide immediate additional trailer and container security for today’s fleets.
- The SnatchLatch HT provides bolt seal security on a broad range of heavy trucking trailers, containers, dry vans and reefers.
- The SnatchLatch HTU provides the same security for Utility brand trailers’ proprietary handle systems.
Constructed of heavy 10-gauge steel, the patented SnatchLatch heavy trucking security devices are easily installed over a container or trailer door’s existing handle and latch mechanism.
SnatchLatch security devices protect the bolt seal, hasp and pad lock on trailer and shipping container doors, making it virtually impossible to tamper with the bolt seal or lock. SnatchLatch devices also provide tamper-proof security on stationary shipping containers or storage containers. All SnatchLatch products are designed to work without modifications to existing equipment.
“We install a tamper evident bolt seal on every load of produce that leaves our packing facility. Our produce is subject to USDA inspection and testing at anytime so the integrity and security of every load is very important. I ask the trucking companies that haul for us to use the new SnatchLatch HT to ensure security,” said Danny Arnold, President, A-W Produce, Weslaco, Texas.
With the addition of the SnatchLatch HT and SnatchLatch HTU models, the SnatchLatch product line now provides heavy trucking security units compatible with security devices used throughout the shipping and truck transportation industry. Working with, not replacing other security devices, the new models HT and HTU create redundancy that further enhances security. Every SnatchLatch can be reused thousands of times to protect the locks and bolt seals on the hinged doors of shipping containers, dry vans, small personal cargo trailers and reefers with a proprietary handle system.
“The new SnatchLatch products offer the trucking industry an affordable way to manage risk, reduce theft and improve their loss ratio,” said Jerre Santini, inventor of the SnatchLatch line of trailer security devices.
The new trailer security and container security devices will be available by July 30 on www.SnatchLatch.com.
