Evatran Announces 'Plugless' Charging System for Electric Vehicles

WYTHEVILLE, Va., July 27 -- MTC Transformers, a world-class provider of high-quality, precision-engineered transformers and rewind services, announced the launch of Evatran, LLC, a clean technology subsidiary devoted to innovative charging solutions for electric vehicles and extended-range hybrids. Recognizing that frequent and convenient charging of electric vehicles is essential to their volume acceptance, Evatran aims to help the world transition to electric vehicles by utilizing existing electrical technology to make charging EVs painless and worry-free.

Evatran's unique Plugless Power(TM) will be the first such system developed to address the need for convenient charging. Answering a clear demand in the market, the system will utilize inductive charging technology to eliminate the hassle of the plug.
