Alvaro Parente ended today's GP2 Hungarian race in the sixth place, adding another point to his season campaign.

As expected, because of the impossibility to overtake at Hungaroring, the first moments of the race were very important and, though he wasn't able to gain any position at the start, the Portuguese driver reached the sixth position, after Pastor Maldonado tried a move on Davide Rigon, that delayed him and Davide Valsecchi and sent the Trident driver to the gravel.

During the twenty-eight laps race Alvaro Parente was in the pack that followed Giedo van der Garde, crossing the finish line less than three and half seconds from the Dutchman and on Villa's back. "It wasn't possible to do much more than getting the sixth place! I tried to overtake Romain Grosjean and Lucas di Grassi in the first corner, but I couldn't pass them and I was ninth. I became sixth after an incident in front of me and, following that, I wasn't able to gain any position, though I was very near from Grosjean and, later, from Villa, who lost some places with an error under braking", said the driver sponsored by Soccerade, Delta, TMN, Aurora Group, Geotur and Cision.

Though he had score one point today, the Ocean Racing Technology's young driver wasn't very pleased with the weekend's outcome, because he expected to fight for the top positions, as he has done in the last few races. "Our car wasn't as fast as we expected, we were losing some time in the middle sector of the circuit. We analyzed carefully this weekend´s telemetry and I'm confident that the team will find a good solution for Valencia", underlined with confidence Alvaro Parente.

The GP2 season will have now a four weeks break, returning at Valencia's street-circuit.
