MAJOR EXHIBITORS EXPANDING BOOTH PRESENCE AT GLASSBUILD AMERICAŽ
URBAN MACHINERY LATEST TO DEEPEN COMMITMENT TO SHOW
Washington, DC (July 23, 2009) - In another sign that the recession is easing and companies are looking ahead to growth in 2010, several leading industry firms announced plans to expand their presence at this fall's GlassBuild AmericaŽ Expo in Atlanta.

"This news is a strong indication that the markets are recovering and firms are refocusing on growth. It is equally heartening that these firms - and the hundreds of other exhibitors registered for this year's show - place such great importance on GlassBuild America as the premier venue to showcase their products, network with their peers and learn from some of the top experts in the field," said Phil James, president and CEO, National Glass Association."

Urban Machinery, a world leader in machinery for the window and door market, cited anecdotal evidence from customers that indicated a more positive economic outlook and a desire to invest in new machinery as a driver of their decision to significantly expand their booth space.

"We like what we're starting to see in the marketplace," said Volker Lamprecht, president and COO, Urban Machinery. "We know the road back to economic strength will take some time. But, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. In heading to GlassBuild America, we're expecting to add to that positive momentum even further for 2010. And GlassBuild America is the right platform to demonstrate our support of our customers and the industry."

Urban Machinery, RiteScreen, TruSeal, Lamatek, Fenetech, Grove Structural Shims, GED Integrated Solutions, Dawson Doors, Weiss USA, and FiberLink, Inc. are among the firms that have either expanded booth space at GlassBuild America or reversed earlier decisions to not attend.

"The number of high-quality companies that have committed to the show and the steady pace of outstanding early attendee registrations are very encouraging signs. The industry is demonstrating great commitment, our staff is working extremely hard, and given the economy, we're preparing for what is shaping up to be a very strong show," said Denise Sheehan, vice president of industry events, National Glass Association.

GlassBuild AmericaŽ: The Glass, Window & Door Expo, scheduled for September 30 through October 2 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, is the largest and most important annual gathering of glass industry professionals in North America.
