BRITS ON THE LAKE - PORT PERRY - AUGUST 9th

I would like to inform you of an event that will take place in downtown Port Perry, Ontario on August 9th.  The event is the first annual BRITS ON THE LAKE - all British Car/Motorcycle/Bus Show.  The Brits will be staged on the main street (Queen Street) of Port Perry, in the heart of the restored historic shopping area.  Queen Street will become a combination show arena and walking mall.  The Port Perry Downtown BIA is the Key Sponsor and the show is organized by Little Britain Motor Company.  

The BIA and Little Britain Motor Company have been promoting the event for some time and it is expected that thousands of spectators and well over a hundred British motor vehicles will turn out for the event.  Several British Car Clubs from Southern Ontario will put on Club Displays for the public.  There will be "peoples choice judging" of the show vehicles and everyone can participate.  There is also a Photo Contest and a U-Tube Video Contest to engage show participants and the public alike.  

BRITS ON THE LAKE celebrates 50 years of the venerable Mini and also "Britain's Greatest Sportscar", the Marcos.

A fun twist on the event will be its Hawaiin theme.  Everyone is encouraged to wear their loudest Hawaiin shirts.  The merchants will be selling leiis and the proceeds from those sales will go to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.
