Corona, July 22, 2009: As the sun goes down the racing will be heating up as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series returns to the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex for rounds 7&8. With the July 25th and 26th events kicking off in the evening, the fans at the Lake Elsinore short course track will be treated to some of the biggest names in off road racing as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series hosts its first nighttime event. "Things are coming together beautifully," commented Series Director Tony Vanillo. "The track looks great, the facility is top notch and with the great action and cooler evening temperatures, the fans are going to have an incredible time at this race under the lights."

The featured Unlimited 2 (800+ HP) trucks are being paced by 4Wheel Parts Greg Adler. With three second place finishes in six rounds of racing, Adler is developing the consistency that could lead him to a coveted season championship. Hot on his heels is the SpeedTechnologies/Bully Dog star, Jeff Ward. Having picked up his first win just one month ago, Ward looks to return to Lake Elsinore and continue to make a statement in this his rookie season. Carl Renezeder is leading the charge in his Lucas Oil/General Tire Unlimited 4 but faces stiff competition from Travis Coyne and class newcomers Mike Johnson and Bryce Menzies in addition to duo of Kyle and Curt LeDuc who are also making their first appearance of the season.

Freestyle motocross star Bryan Deegan celebrated his first career Unlimited Lite (300hp) truck win with a triumphant return to his former stomping grounds at Lake Elsinore just one month ago. Now, while also preparing for his first XGames competition in RallyX, Deegan seeks to challenge U-Lite leaders Rob Naughton and Chris Brandt who have placed first and second in four of six rounds of racing with Naughton taking five big wins. Chad Leising looks to unseat John Harrah for the top spot in SuperLite while Chuck Cheek and Bruce Fraley lead the pack in Unlimited and Limited Buggies.

The weekend event, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink will also feature mid afternoon performances on the RockStar Energy/Lucas Oil Stage by bands The Igniters, Fender Benders and Last Minute from the Fender Center's Kids Rock Free Program. Kids Rock Free will also be holding a special raffle to win a custom Fender Guitar from the Fender Pro Shop commemorating the event.
