Charlotte, July 22, 2009: The Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 20 entry will take on a new look at the Kroger 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park this weekend. The car will be themed for the launch of Coach Joe Gibbs’ new book titled Game Plan for Life: Your Personal Playbook for Success, which includes a foreword by former Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy.
Twenty-one year-old Brad Coleman will have the honor of piloting the No. 20 Game Plan for Life Toyota Camry, and coming fresh off a top-five in St. Louis, is humbled by the opportunity.
“Coach Gibbs has teamed up with some of the best Biblical scholars in the world to write a book to help people with their game plan for life,” stated Coleman. “Driving the race car that will feature his new book is a real blessing and honor.”
Coach Gibbs’ new book is based on his winning philosophy that life is a game and everyone needs a game plan. In the book, Coach Gibbs and his team of 11 scholars have highlighted 11 topics to help “the average Joe” be a better player in their own lives.
“Everyone is a player in the game of life. I believe God is our Head Coach and the Bible is our game plan,” said Joe Gibbs. “I consider myself to be an “average Joe” and I wanted to have the book published a format that is easy to read and easy to understand; so that all of us “average Joes” can enjoy the book and benefit from the valuable insights of these great scholars.
“I’m thrilled to have Brad driving the car this weekend,” added Gibbs. “We think the world of Brad. Not only is he a talented young driver, but he’s a great person and we’re proud to have him in the Game Plan for Life Toyota on Saturday night.”
The book was just released this week and Coleman noted he is already half-way through its pages.
“It is a great read that includes a lot of plays I am adding to my life’s game plan, and I am committed to finishing the book by the time we get to Indy,” smiled Coleman.
