(July 21, 2009) –There will be no time off for the USARacing Pro Cup Series teams and staff as they jump straight into their next event at Hickory Motor Speedway. The Hickory 250 presented by Calico Coatings will be joined by the United States Auto Club (USAC) Ford Focus Midgets for a 35 lap event before the Pro Cup race on Saturday, July 25 in Hickory, NC. Several Pro Cup drivers will be making appearances this week gearing up for the race. Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que and the Hooters of Hickory will be the site for autograph sessions with several Pro Cup Series drivers and their cars, including the 2008 Raybestos Rookie of the Year, Drew Herring and his No. 22 BTS Tire & Wheel Distributors/Hogslat Ford Fusion. The appearances will be held this Friday, July 24, from 5 – 7PM. Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que is located at 1819 Fairgrove Church Rd., SE in Conover. The Hooters of Hickory is located at 1211 13th Avenue Dr SE. Series points leader, Clay Rogers, and leading Raybestos Rookie of the Year candidate, Lucas Ransone, will join the Foothills Radio Group located in Lenoir, NC on Thursday morning, July 23 to discuss their season and the upcoming race at Hickory Motor Speedway.
